Stormy Days

We have had some bad storms here lately. Lady is terrified of the thunder and has kept everyone up through the night last night. She gets all panicky like, "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"She is scared and can't settle down. Daddy cuddles her and tries to console her, but mostly she still worried about the storm. She couldn't even sit still long enough for us to take a good picture of her! Poor Sissie Lady.

This is the view off our front porch. We took this picture in the afternoon when it should be bright outside. You can see how dark it is.

We heard the sirens go off, so I, Eddie, checked it out. They sound the sirens when there is danger of a tornado and you should seek shelter.

But, Momma made us all go downstairs to the basement in case we really had a tornado. So here we are all hiding out downstairs. Luckily we have a family room in the basement where we can watch T.V., blog, and just generally lay around while we are safe from tornadoes.

As you can see, Lady is MUCH happier hiding in the basement where the thunder isn't as loud, and we are safe from the tornadoes.
We hope ToTo and Dorothy make it to Auntie Em's before the twister hits!

While we're hanging around doing nothing, Tosca has made a fun mass-tag for laughs.

So, to answer Tosca's joke: How would your breed change a lightbulb? A Beagle would sniff around all over the ground trying to find the lightbulb first. Once we caught its scent, our flag-tails would go up and we would whine and Barooooooo like someone was pulling our ears off until the hunters on horseback came and changed the lightbulb. Then we would trot back home very proud of our accomplishment with our tongues hanging out.

Good to hear no tornado. We heard Dad say he used to work in the oil patch in Oklahoma, right in tornado ally. Hope Lady gets over being scared of lightning.
