In a funk

Its been nearly a month since we've posted. We miss you guys, but just have had a hard time bringing ourselves to have much doggie fun.
Another of Bella's babies has passed over the rainbow bridge. Little Miss Cass, the ernery instigator of puppy play, was turned in to the local shelter by her new family for reasons unknown. We cannot get in touch with them to find out why they did that. When we saw Cass on the rescue poster at a local function we tried to go adopt her out of the shelter only to find out that she had been euthanized that morning.

Our hearts are quite shattered.
Now that we've broken the silence, maybe we can get back at the keyboard more.

We love you all. Bless your momma's and poppa's for lovin' you so much. You are all so lucky to have such good families.

We are so very sorry to hear this, especially after Lews' tragic accident. After everything you have done looking after Bella and the pups you must be absolutely gutted. Thinking of you all and sending much love your way.

My mum, my family and me feel so very sad for Little Miss Cass and for you all. Hoomans can be so cruel. Why didn't they contact you if they didn't want Miss Cass any more. We read about poor Lewis too. Hoomans are so stoopid and cruel. We really feel for you.

Oh, what awful and tragic news. I am so, so sorry to read your sad post. I came over to your Blog via Dogs With Blogs News website. I did not know your Blog before this, and I am really sad that it should be this occasion for me to be commenting for the very first time.

I am sorry for what has happened to little Cass.

Curse the family who turn her into the kill shelter without thinking of returning her to you guys. They are so irresponsible and cruel.

Dun feel too bad. You have done your best for the pups. I hope you will feel better soon.

Luv,
Snowball

This is sp sad! Why do some humans just throw away a life like that? My M hates it when owners who wants to give up their dogs threaten to send their pets to the shelter or put them down if no one wants them. Don't they FEEL anything for the dogs that loves them? What happened to the months or years or relationships?

Don't worry, my big brother will take care of Little Miss Cass over at the bridge.

My moms eyes are raining right now & she won't tell me why...only that we are so sorry to hear such awful news & our hearts are shattered too...I looked like that as a puppy too...all black & a bit of white....My brother Dublin will take care of Cass & Lewis at the Bridge...the only comfort we can have is knowing now that she is always at peace....Even though our sadness will linger for longer than forever...

All love & licks to your family,
Randi & her mom

Hi, we were so very, very sad to read the news about Cass. We still can't believe that such a thing could happen to such a good looking young puppy with her whole life ahead of her. Who could do such a thing? It must be hard for you. Please know that we are thinking of you in such a time of sadness.

Reading this made my heart hurt. Such a sweet young life...she didn't have to die. People can be so irresponsible & it makes me crazy!

Bless you for all you have done for Bella & her pups. Cass has her brother to keep her company at the bridge.

Just saw this through DWB and wanted to say how sorry we are to hear this. Such a heartbreaking reminder of how appallingly irresponsible some people are, and how much the quality of a dog's life depends so much on the quality of the 'owner'.

Hairy hugs to you all

Oh my Dog. Little Miss Cass was so cute. Mom and me and the cats have tears for you, we are so sorry for the unnecessary loss of this lovely sweet little girl at the hands of miserable rotten stupid human beings who sent her to her death rather than do the right thing by her. The Woman is infuriated and our hearts are broken for little Cass and your whole family.
